During my time as a volunteer at De Dorpsketting (Dutch community organisation), I helped colleagues with solving computer questions. What began with small technical problems and simple explanations grew into something bigger.
After countless brainstorming sessions and even more cups of coffee, I realized that technology can be simpler. Knowledge only truly gains value when you share it.
This is how the article series “IT voor iedereen” came to be. In English: “IT for everyone”. It is an accessible collection that makes complex IT topics understandable. The series began in 2023 with ten simple questions. A new article is now published every month.
The website youritprofessional.com was originally my platform to return to the IT field as a self‑employed professional. Over time, it turned into a place where I — alongside the publication in De Dorpsketting — started sharing my answers to everyday computer questions.
Although youritprofessional.com is no longer actively maintained, this does not mean that my return to IT stops. Behind the scenes, I am working on new certifications, further developing my business plan, and creating ideas for online IT courses. From now on, this journey will receive a new chapter on this website.
Today, the article series “IT voor iedereen” continues on my Dutch-language page. For now, I translate these articles only into Norwegian, helping readers outside the Netherlands navigate the digital maze as well.
